An Organization That Provides Volunteer Support For Independent Living. This includes rides for the elderly or chronically ill, grocery shopping & other errands, prescription delivery, respite care and friendly visiting. They also offer social programs like Mah-Jongg, book club, Friday with Friends, etc.

Patty Turner Senior Center, Deerfield Park District – 375 Elm Street, Deerfield – 847-940-4010 The center is for adults 50 and over and provides programs that serve social, recreational and intellectual needs; and to enrich their lives. Social services are provided through a partnership between the Deerfield Park District and West Deerfield Township. They also offer blood pressure & blood sugar screenings, cholesterol screenings, podiatry services, massage services and medical equipment lending.

Catholic Charities Lake County Senior Services

Catholic Charities fulfills the Church's role in the mission of charity to anyone in need by providing compassionate, competent and professional services that strengthen and support individual, families and communities based on the value and dignity of human life. The mission of Catholic Charities is based on the foundation of individual dignity, quality of life, self-determination and personal choice.

Catholic Charities Lake County Senior Case Management Services assists those 60 and over and their caregivers by providing comprehensive services so that seniors are able to live independently or with caregivers in their own homes and communities. Catholic Charities of Lake County Senior Services offers a wide variety of programs and services for older adults and their family members. Coordinators provide information, assessments and connect clients to services such as, homemaker, adult day care, emergency home response, caregiver assistance, medical transportation, senior nutrition (Meals on Wheels and congregate meals), self-neglect cases (APS), benefits assistance (SHIP/SHAP/BAA/LINK), outreach and options counseling. Community Outreach presentations about programming and services are also available.

West Deerfield Township has a food pantry and a transportation service for township residents who have mobility challenges. They also have a social worker that can help residents with SNAP, Medicaid and other challenges they may face and they have a community support grant for accessibility.
